Seether share new song ‘Feast or Famine’

Seether – ‘Feast or Famine’

This week also saw Seether share their new track ‘Feast or Famine’, which you can listen to above. The song comes ahead of their new record, ‘The Purgatory EP’ which is due on July 30th.

Nothing But Thieves set for intimate run of shows

Moving onto the live section of our News Report now as we all anticipate the return of live music. This week saw Nothing But Thieves announce a short run of intimate dates, taking in Oxford, Norwich and Liverpool.

Green Man gets go-ahead and reveals line-up

Festivals now in our News Report roundup, and first up is Green Man. The event was this week given the go-ahead to proceed next month and fans have finally been shown the long-awaited line-up.

The stunning bill includes Fontaines D.C., Mogwai, Working Men’s Club, Shame, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, John, Jose Gonzalez, Black Midi, Teenage Fanclub, Self Esteem, Snapped Ankles, Porridge Radio and The Goa Express.

Wild Paths unveil full line-up

The full line-up for the 2021 edition of Wild Paths Festival in Norwich has now been revealed. Some 200 acts will grace 20 stages over the course of 4 days in the fine city.

Those acts include Sports Team, The Big Moon, Billie Marten, Bessie Turner, Gaffa Tape Sandy, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, The Mysterines, Feet, Press To Meco, John, Anorak Patch, Gabby Rivers and The Islas.

Our weekly News Report commences this week with our section which highlights the best new releases! There is plenty to sink your teeth into on that front and we will start off with Frank Turner.

Turner has began the build towards his latest album with the first single, ‘The Gathering’. The track features appearances from both Jason Isbell and Muse drummer Dom Howard.

Frank Turner announces travelling show ‘The Gathering’

We said that we would have more Frank Turner news, and here it is! We kick off our tour section of the News Report with a special run of shows from Turner.

Turner will play a series of ‘The Gathering’ shows this summer with a touring cast of friends. Playing at select shows will be Skinny Lister, Guise, Johnny Lloyd, BERRIES, Deux Furieuses, Ducking Punches, Non Canon, Pet Needs and Samantics!

Salem announce lengthy UK tour

Roddy Woomble set for special livestream

Idlewild’s Roddy Woomble is preparing for the release of his latest solo album. ‘Lo! Soul’ is set for release on May 21st, and you can pre-order your copy here.

Last week saw a very festival heavy News Report. This week we end the report with the latest festival announcements. First up is Standon Calling who have announced a plethora of new additions.

The event is headlined by Bastille, Hot Chip, Primal Scream and Craig David. This week they have been joined on the line-up by Jake Bugg and Pale Waves amongst others.

We have plenty of news to get through this week, and we start with a tease! Are Wolf Alice preparing to release their hotly anticipated third album? The band has this week teased social media with a number of posts. Fans are encouraged to sign-up for their mailing list here.

The date teased for more information on ‘The Last Man On Earth’ is this Wednesday (24th). Keep an eye on our social media, and be sure to check our next News Report for that information!

Myles Kennedy unveils second solo album ‘The Ides Of March’

We have all struggled with boredom during the various pandemic lockdowns. You can imagine Myles Kennedy would be particularly perturbed given his high work ethic. Kennedy is usually found fronting Alter Bridge or Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators. During any downtime he also has a successful solo career to focus on!

It should be no surprise to anyone therefore that Kennedy this week announced the upcoming release of his second solo album! ‘The Ides Of March’ is set for release on May 14th, and has been preceded by the single ‘In Stride’.

Papa Roach unveil Danny Worsnop featuring ‘Broken As Me’

Papa Roach – ‘Broken As Me’

Next up, as we stick with iconic bands from the early noughties, we get to Papa Roach. The band are preparing for the March 19th release of their second greatest hits record. ‘Greatest Hits Vol. 2: The Better Noise Years’ focuses on tracks from between 2010 and 2020. Ghost Road Fest add The Pearl Harts + others

We really hope that live music is able to safely return later this year. Giving us something to look forward to is Ghost Road Fest. The event will take place across two days in London and Leeds.
