kasabian – act iii – album review
Fans are now getting used to the Serge Pizzorno fronted version of Kasabian. They are playing bigger shows and building their own repertoire of songs, and their third album since the change, ‘ACT II’ is here now!
Fans will be greeted by much familiarity on this album, albeit with the continued stronger connections to danceable music as opposed to many of their bigger guitar anthems.
‘ACT III’ is one of many recent albums to have a release delay, although rather than citing production issues, the band spoke of wanting to make final tweaks to the record, so it would be interesting to hear what the changes were.

That’s because even now any real je ne sais quoi is lacking. Nothing truly stands out on the album. There are a few moments where the genericness of it all strikes you. Kasabian are historically and even recently a band able to deliver a suckerpunch.
‘ACT III’ though pokes and prods but never unleashes the raw power that we know the band still hold.
This is one that you can 100% categorise as “not a bad record”, but it’s also one that you’re unlikely to revisit anytime soon.
