Following the success of ‘Blood Ties’ last year, rock n’ roll journeyman Ricky Warwick is already back with a brand-new solo album, ‘Fire & Vengeance’.
Another carefully crafted ten songs that ooze that rock n’ roll swagger that makes Warwick so cool. Pulling from his experience fronting The Almighty, Black Star Riders and Thin Lizzy, this is Warwick doing what he does best.
There is plenty of substance on the record with the passionate and defiant lyrics and slick guitar work that has typified his career once again front and centre.

Warwick brings some friends along for this ride with the Phil Collen featuring ‘Seek Zen Destroy’, the Charlie Starr accompanied ‘When The King Falls’, Darren Holden collaboration ‘Sweet County Down’ and Doug Aldrich starring ‘Hellbent & Heaven Sent’ all standout tracks.
This all feels effortless for Warwick, whose longevity and consistency have become his hallmark. It is remarkable that he manages this stability whilst still generating a my way or the highway attitude throughout the album.
Credit must go where credit goes and its time to recognise the respect that needs to be put on the name Ricky Warwick. ‘Fire & Vengeance’ really is simply another example of his hard graft and drive to always better what came before.
