Karen Dió – FUGAZ – EP REVIEW
Karen Dió has been winning over fans with her full-throttle live show over the past couple of years. Big supporting slots and fun festival appearances have demonstrated that Dió is one of the most exciting new rock artists around.
Her debut EP, ‘My World’, was a fantastic introduction and now Dió doubles down on her sophomore collection, ‘Fugaz’. The title is Portuguese for fleeting or brief and Dió says that this comes from dealing with the speed of change she has experienced in recent years.
It’s also fitting for an EP that whips past in fifteen minutes of punk rock glory. The six tracks each swift in delivery but full of impact as Dió continues to explore her now signature sound.
With a good deal of momentum on her side, Dió may well be inescapable in the coming years, so ‘Fugaz’ feels like an ideal time to get invested!
