THE MEFFS – business – album review
Colchester punk duo The Meffs have been making a meaningful noise for a few years now. Raucous headline shows, impactful support slots and memorable festival appearances have grabbed your attention, now they are here with new album, ‘Business’, to lock you in.
At eleven tracks and twenty-five minutes this is a short, sharp riot of a record that will get you raging and rocking in equal measure.
Packed full of big riffs and punk attitude, this is another giant step forward for a band really coming into their own. Their distinct sound is matched only in ferocity by the direct and uncompromising lyrics that make the band so essential.

At a time when the world is intent on losing its mind, The Meffs manage to bring a heavy dose of reality. Their genuine and down-to-earth songs are exactly what is needed right now. The duo are adept at making you give your head a little wobble and ensuring simple perspectives aren’t lost.
For many, community is becoming a thing of the past, but not if The Meffs have anything to do about it. They have a real knack for bringing people together and uniting us through common threads.
Nothing is held back and with the political system, inauthenticity and the music industry itself in their sights on this album, The Meffs certainly do mean business!
