Welcome to another edition of our weekly music News Report! We start this week with a run through of this weeks festival line-up announcements, and there has been plenty!
First up is the above announcement from Standon Calling. This year the event will feature four days of music including headline sets from the likes of Madness and Primal Scream.
Also performing across the weekend will be acts such as Self Esteem, The Cribs, Yard Act, Pigs x7, The Subways, Billy Nomates, Lynks, The Skints, Bob Vylan and Bessie Turner.
Truck Festival also gain a slew of new acts over the past week. Already announced for the event were the likes of Kasabian, The Kooks, Sports Team, Shame, The Subways, Dinosaur Pile Up, Yard Act, Black Honey, Vistas, Lauran Hibberd and Gender Roles.
They’ll now be joined by acts including Sea Girls, The Murder Capital, Pulled Apart By Horses, Noisy, The Hara and Grandmas House.
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes join Bearded Theory lineup
The fantastic looking Bearded Theory festival now looks even better following the addition of Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes this past week.
They join a bill including Placebo, Yonaka, Nova Twins, Lauran Hibberd, Frank Turner, Shame, Ferocious Dog, The Hives, Bob Vylan, The Ninth Wave, October Drift and many more!
We move now onto the past weeks new music releases, and where better to start than with the news that Red Hot Chili Peppers have a new album on the way?
Yes, ‘Unlimited Love’ will arrive on April 1st. The band also debuted new single ‘Black Summer’ which you can check out above.
We close out our News Report this week with the latest from Puppy. This week the band revealed their latest single, ‘and watched it glow’, which you can listen to above.
The track will feature on their newly announced upcoming album, ‘Pure Evil’!

Welcome to another edition of our weekly News Report. This week features a slew of festival announcements as events prepare for the 2022 season.
For many events, they are preparing for their first event since 2019 due to the pandemic. One such event is Kendal Calling, who this week revealed their comeback line-up and it doesn’t disappoint with headliners including Supergrass and Stereophonics.
Also featuring high on the bill will be the likes of The Wombats, The Kooks, The Vaccines, Pale Waves, Sports Team and The Snuts.
It’s lower down the poster however that the line-up comes to life with The Mysterines, Lottery Winners, Valeras, Lauran Hibberd, Pigs x7, Massive Wagons, Hacktivist, Skinny Lister, Deux Furieuses, Guise and Berries all set to feature!
Another festival returning after a two year lay-off will be Truck Festival, which will also celebrate the events 25th Anniversary!
Headliners for the special event will be Bombay Bicycle Club, Sam Fender, Kasabian, Blossoms and The Kooks.
They are set to be joined by the likes of Sports Team, Shame, The Subways, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Black Honey, Vistas, Kid Brunswick, Lauran Hibberd and Dream Nails.
Slam Dunk Festival reshuffled their 2022 line-up this week with previously announced stage headliners Rancid no longer available. Added to the bill however are two new headline acts in the form of Sum 41 and Dropkick Murphys.
They are joined by new and previously announced acts such as Alexisonfire, The Interrupters, The Used, Deaf Havana, Hot Milk, Dream State and Spanish Love Songs.
Our final festival announcement this week comes from Standon Calling, who have revealed they will feature a huge bill on the Thursday in 2022.
Headlined by Madness and also featuring The Subways and The Skints, the Thursday provides a sneak peek at what’s to come with 3 more full days of music to be announced.
Music Venue Trust reveal next set of ‘Revive Live’ dates
The incredible Music Venue Trust continue to work tirelessly to protect our vital grassroots music venues from threats pandemic related and sadly un-pandemic related. FYI, if you choose to move in next to an existing music venue, don’t complain about the noise!
Anyway, this week saw MVT announce the next slate of dates for their ‘Revive Live’ tour in conjunction with The National Lottery. Lottery playing friends can get a free ticket with each ticket buyer!
Huge acts playing this January include Bastille, The Coral, Enter Shikari, Feeder, Carl Barat, The Snuts, James & The Cold Gun, Strange Bones and many more.
Our News Report moves on now to a couple of tour announcements, and up first is Will Varley. Following the release of his superb new album, ‘The Hole Around My Head’, Varley will be hitting the road in May next year.
Time now to turn our News Report on to new music releases from the past week and we start with Twin Atlantic.
The band continue to build towards the release of their new album, ‘Transparency’ which arrives on January 7th. This week saw the band debut the latest track, ‘Dirty’, which you can listen to above.

Truck Festival adds more music and reveals day/stage splits
We kick off our News Report this week with news from Truck Festival. The organisers have revealed the stage and days splits for what looks to be an epic weekend this July.
Not just that however, as they have also announced additional acts joining a stunning line-up headlined by Bombay Bicycle Club, The Kooks and Royal Blood.
New additions include Everything Everything, Arlo Parks, Swim Deep, and Cruel Hearts Club.

This week in our News Report we have a whole load of tour news to report! We start off with the iconic Gary Numan, who has announced a massive tour around the UK.
Included amongst the run of dates is a huge headline show at Wembley Arena. Tickets will be available here, from May 28th.
Numan will also be playing a very special livestream show on Thursday 17th June, for which more information is available here.
The Lumineers this week announced their return to Europe, which will include an impressive UK Arena Tour. Whilst in the UK, the band will pass through Nottingham, Glasgow, Dublin, Manchester and finally The O2 in London.
The Kooks to celebrate ‘Inside In / Inside Out’ Anniversary
Also announced this week was a huge UK Tour for The Kooks during which they will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of ‘Inside In / Inside Out’! The band will be joined on this run by The Snuts.
Another band celebrating an Anniversary is Eagles of Death Metal with a newly announced 24th Anniversary tour! The group will trek around the UK later this year with support from Bones.
The Anniversary celebrations continue this December. The Cadillac Three will return to the UK for a 10th Anniversary tour, set to include a show at the Roundhouse in Camden. Support will be from Brent Cobb.
Our News Report continues with more news from the US. Less Than Jake will be heading to the UK in Spring 2022 for a huge UK Tour. To make things even better, they will be joined variously by Skinny Lister, The Toasters and Millie Manders & The Shutup!

We once again start this week’s edition of the News Report with a slew of festival announcements.
Up first is Oxfordshire’s Truck Festival. The event has unveiled a huge line-up for 23-25 July 2021. Headlining the event will be Bombay Bicycle Club, The Kooks and Royal Blood!
That’s not all though as the top of the bill also features big sets from Blossoms, Fontaines D.C., DMA’s, IDLES, Pale Waves, Sports Team and The Pigeon Detectives.
There are also many more amazing acts set to grace the event including The Snuts, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Black Honey, Vistas, Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs Pigs, Lauran Hibberd and The Mysterines.
Tickets are SOLD OUT, however you can join the waiting list here.
Whilst we are of course hopeful that we will safely be able to return to live music this summer, it’s not yet guaranteed. One festival that has chosen to move to 2022 is Bearded Theory.
In doing so they have revealed that the event will be headlined by Placebo, Patti Smith and The Flaming Lips. The event promises to be one not to miss and you can grab your tickets here.
Red Rooster reveals full line-up
Suffolk’s Red Rooster Festival is another event still looking to go ahead. The festival will take place over the weekend of 27-29 August and will feature sets from Richard Hawley, Jade Bird, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Emily Barker, The Urban Voodoo Machine and many more.
Ghost Road Fest is set to take place on the 6th and 7th November. Day one will takeover Kolis in London and the final day will emanate from Belgrave Music Hall in Leeds.
This week, the organisers revealed the full line-up for the event with a stunning line-up including The Virginmarys, Bang Bang Romeo, The Pearl Harts, Salvation Jayne and Moses.
Get Together festival will take place this August from Sheffield Uni Students’ Union. The two day event has just announced a great line-up featuring Black Honey, Dream Wife, Tim Burgess, Willie J Healey, The Mysterines, The Ninth Wave, Self Esteem and The Orielles.
Our News Report now moves onto our tour news section with the announcement from The Offspring that they will be hitting UK arenas this November!
The massive tour will be the biggest shows from the band in a long time, and they are made even bigger by the addition of The Hives as special guests.

Lauran Hibberd announces the Goober Tour
The fantastic Lauran Hibberd has unveiled a run of dates around the UK. The Goober Tour hits this October and finishes at OMEARA in London on October 13th.
Now our News Report turns to new music releases. Up first is the return of Twenty One Pilots. This week saw the duo unveil their latest single ‘Shy Away’.
In a big news week for their fans, it was also announced that a new album, ‘Scaled And Icy’ is due on May 21st. You can pre-order your copy here.
