Iconic Liverpudlians Echo & The Bunnymen are back with their first album in twelve years, ‘Apples For Isaac’.

Ian McCulloch and Will Sergeant remain some of the most cherished songwriters of their generation, but many would’ve thought that another album was unlikely.

Well, not only has it happened but it’s also really good!

This late in their career, you could understand them simply relying on past glories and hitting the nostalgia scene hard but instead they have captured some twilight era magic!

McCulloch and Sergeant worked with celebrated Blondie drummer Clem Burke on the album. Burke would sadly pass away during the making of the album, but his beats are intact on ten of the eleven songs making this great record a fitting swansong for the much loved sticksman.

The album adopts a sound that takes from each era of the band’s career and exudes vibrancy and panache. Fans will find lots to enjoy across the album and if it ends up being their final album then it does their career the justice it deserves.
