Brighton punk quartet Harker have been quietly winning over anybody that will listen with a solid string of releases ahead of their latest album, ‘All That Remains’.
That album is now here and wow! The five pre-releases single did indicate that this would be good, but as soon as you sink your teeth into this album, you will feel every moment of what is a stylish but fully impassioned record.
The band has their heart on their sleeve and as you become accustomed to the album so will you as you sing back every word.
‘All That Remains’ is the third album from Harker and it is a big step up from the rejigged group. Absolutely their most ambitious and complete piece of work, the care and affection placed into the album is clear for all to hear.
With a range of grounded subjects touched upon (friendships, mental health, living life), it’s relatable and helps to build a connection with the listener. At the same time the stunning sonic balance of intricacy and intensity shapes a magnificent evolution of their sound.
This is the type of album that simply deserves to be heard. It’ll be criminal if this doesn’t elevate the band into the consciousness of the British punk scene where they deserve to live rent free!
