Good health good wealth – the disco never ends – album review

Good Health Good Wealth are one of those bands that emerged post-lockdown and have generated a gentle buzz. A string of shorter releases and memorable live appearances have placed them into the consciousness of the British indie scene.

Their eclectic sound blending indie rock appeal, punk attitude and a heavy electronic influence makes them a really interesting crossover prospect and now they are ready to make their clearest statement yet with their first full-length release, ‘The Disco Never Ends’.

What is attractive about the band is the fact you can throw easy comparisons at them whilst simultaneously acknowledging that they are ultimately incomparable.

You can sit, listen and point like you’re Leonardo DiCaprio in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood each time you hear a familiar element, but the distinctiveness of their sound will eventually become too difficult to ignore.

Lyrically the band are capable of the quick quips and intelligent observations you’d expect, but the charm and depth of their delivery is key feature that sets them apart from their contemporaries.

It’s the real-life experiences and everyday survivalism required in the modern world that makes these songs resonate so well and the frank, yet witted delivery that engages the listener fully.

This duo has created something special and ‘The Disco Never Ends’ is the perfect connector for them and their audience. As they continue to grow and explore their uniqueness, we can’t wait to witness the journey.
