Status Quo announce 2022 Arena Tour

The bulk of our News Report this week will focus on the great new music releases of the past week, but first a handful of new tour announcements!

Up first, the legendary Status Quo will be on the road again in 2022 and this past week the band revealed an Arena Tour for late in the year. The ‘Xmas 22 Tour’ will see support from Shakin’ Stevens and concludes at Wembley Arena.

Charlie Simpson reveals UK Tour

Fightstar and Busted man Charlie Simpson will head out on a solo UK Tour next year in support of his upcoming album, ‘Hope Is A Drug’. That albums arrived March 11th and the tour will start two days later in Dublin.

Fatherson reveal new album and tour

Our final tour announcement comes from Fatherson who also revealed the release of their latest album ‘Normal Fears’. The record will arrive on February 25th and is preceded by new single, ‘Normal People’.

Beans On Toast debuts ‘Humans’

Beans On Toast

We turn our focus fully now onto new music releases as our News Report continues. This week saw Beans On Toast debut his latest track, ‘Humans’, which you can check out above.

There was also new music this week from one of the hottest new acts in the UK, Bob Vylan. The duo released their latest single, ‘GDP’ and announced their new album, ‘The Price of Life’ will be arriving 22nd April.

Isle Of Wight reveals 2022 line-up

Welcome to another edition of our weekly music News Report. We start this week with some festival news with events turning now to the 2022 festival season.

One of the biggest events in the UK, the iconic Isle Of Wight Festival has this week revealed the first acts set to grace the festival next year. Topping the bill will be Lewis Capaldi, Lionel Richie, Kasabian, Pete Tong and huge Sunday headliners Muse.

They’ll be joined by the likes of Blossoms, The Vaccines, Happy Mondays, Shaggy, The Proclaimers and The Coral.

2022 2000trees Festival line-up takes shape!

This week also saw a stunning line-up announcement from 2000trees Festival as their 2022 edition takes shape. The event will be headlined by IDLES, Thrice and Jimmy Eat World!

They will be joined by The Amazons, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Young Guns, Royal Republic, Rolo Tomassi, Lonely The Brave, Crossfaith, Vukovi, Bob Vylan, Beans On Toast, Will Varley, Lauran Hibberd, Press To Meco, Haggard Cat and many more.

You Me At Six to celebrate ‘Sinners Never Sleep’

Last week Slam Dunk Festival announced the first acts that will play the event next summer. This week two huge shows were announced to take place on the same site in the days leading up to the festival.

Hitting Leeds and Hatfield in June will be You Me At Six as they celebrate the 10th Anniversary of their album ‘Sinners Never Sleep’. There will also be a supporting bill that will include The Hunna.

Liam Gallagher set for Knebworth return

Liam Gallagher News Report

Next June will see Liam Gallagher return to Knebworth Park. The ex-Oasis icon will headline a venue close to his heart coinciding with the release of his new album ‘C’mon You Know’ on May 27th.

A huge support bill has been revealed with Kasabian, Michael Kiwanuka, Fat White Family and Goat Girl all set to join Gallagher.

Tool announce rare UK dates

We continue our News Report with some tour announcements. First is a run of three UK dates for Tool. The rarely seen band will be playing shows in Manchester, Birmingham and London in May 2022.

Billy Idol set for UK Arena Tour

Also revealing a run of UK Arena dates for early summer next year is Billy Idol. Playing six dates in June he will be joined by The Go-Go’s for ‘The Roadside Tour’.

Feeder start their new era with their new single, ‘Torpedo’, which you can hear above. This happens to be the title track from their upcoming album which will arrive March 18th 2022. You can pre-order the album now here.

Slam Dunk unveil line-up for rescheduled Festival

The trend of festivals selling out continues following the recent government roadmap announcement. We again start our News Report this week with the pick of the festival news.

Up first is Slam Dunk Festival. The organisers had already announced that the twin event would move to the 4th and 5th of September at Leeds Temple Newsam and Hatfield Park. Now they have unveiled a line-up that includes headliners Sum 41 and Don Broco!

Also on the festival bill is a collection of some of our favourites including Reel Big Fish, A, Dream State, Normandie and Wargasm. Pick up your tickets here.

Bloodstock brings in Kreator

Another event cementing their 2021 line-up this week is Bloodstock Festival. Having lost Mercyful Fate from the Saturday headline slot, the organisers have moved quickly to bring in Kreator to fill that spot.

Steelhouse Festival reveals their final three

Enter Shikari reveal rescheduled tour with new dates added

It isn’t just festivals maneuvering in the wake of the governments roadmap. Tours have been also been adjusting to those plans. This week has seen more rescheduling from the likes of Biffy Clyro and Enter Shikari. The latter even adding in five additional dates!

Lincoln, Hull, Bristol, Liverpool and Leeds will now also get to witness the majesty of Enter Shikari with Dinosaur Pile-Up and Nova Twins in tow. Grab any remaining tickets here.

Korn announce massive livestream event

Korn has announced details of a massive global livestream event taking place on Saturday 24th April 2021. Announcing the event frontman Jonathan Davis said “We hope you take part in this experience with us. And though it is not the same as performing live with you here, we still want to bring you some great music and a fun show.”
